After 7 months of dating and weeks of being apart (when Alex was in the Big Brother house) Katie and Alex have tied the knot.

On Tuesday 2nd February 2010, the two married in Las Vegas. They had a private and simple ceremony – Very different to her wedding with Peter Andre.

In a statement shortly after they were married, they made a statement saying ” We are very much in love and look forward to the future together”

Back in november, Katie, 31, said she had split up with Alex, saying she wanted to be on her own. After her break-up with Peter Andre, stating she had acted “like a right twit”.

They are due back later this week where the couple said in a statment: “We can’t wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes.”

The couples spokesman added to their statement saying: “Their decision to marry has not been made with any pre-conceived commercial plan or media deal in place, and their reason for getting married is purely down to their love for each other.”

Clearly Alex’s words when he won Celebrity Big Brother were true. His response to Davina McCall’s questions “Who is Alex Reid?” was “he’s a man, he’s passionate, he’s going to win a fight in three months. I’m a fighter and I’m a man in love.”
