Alex Reid AKA Rocky is the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2010.

After months of scrutiny from the media for his relationship with Jordan, his cross dressing and spiteful comments thrown at him from left, right and centre, Alex Reid has come out on top as the public favourite out of all the big brother contestants.

We as the public have shown we like the Alex we got to know inside the BB house, it’s clear that the tabloids really do influence what impression we get from someone. From watching Alex in the house over the past four weeks, he has shocked the nation as to the man he really is.

On his way into the house four weeks ago he was “boo-ed” as he walked down and into the house. Tonight, it is a different story, he is being cheered by all of the crowd with a mixture of “Alex” and “Rocky” being yelled as he walked down the stairs to meet Davina to the theme tune of (of course) Rocky.

Throughout the show, we saw great antics from Alex, a few of those would be him streaking with Jonas into the garden, his conversations with Stephen about god! And his little encounter of” kicking the Sh*t out of the snow man” his task from the tree of temptation – the look on the contestants faces was unforgettable. All this and with not forgetting the mocking from Vinnie. Without the banter him and Vinnie had formed the show may not have been as entertaining as it was. Alex calls Vinnie an “Inspiration”.

Over the past four weeks Alex has changed the boos he received upon entering the house into cheers. He has been on massive journey whilst in the house. He has grown as a person, made new found friends and has grown on the public. Stephen has compared Alex to James Bond, Daniel Craig.

It’s clear to say that Alex himself has now gained fans – but may we highlight that those fans are for ALEX, and not to Jordan. The crowd had mixed opinions to the mention of Jordan, many boos and cheers, even her tweets got boo-ed!! One of her tweets whilst he has been in the house is “8 more sleeps till Alex gets home and I wont have to sleep like a starfish any more” Even with Alex announcing his love for Jordan in his interview he was cheered – but there were a few boos to back that cheer up!

So now that Alex is out of the house, what are we to expect from him? Well if his performance within the Big Brother house is anything to go by, Alex’s movie career could be off to a good start. This is not the last we will see of Alex (with or without Jordan)… all we can say is “Watch this space” ………
